Careers · Open role

Chief Marketing Officer.

Accra, Ghana. Full-time, on the ground. The layer is built — your job is to make the market ask for it.

Why this role, now

Asta is the analysis layer Ghana's property market never had. A buyer can already search Greater Accra with fake listings and duplicates stripped out, open a plot and see a risk score built from mapped flood corridors and no-build buffers, and leave with a Dossier a lawyer or a credit committee will accept.

That part is done. The constraint is no longer engineering — it is reach. Most people who would benefit from a verified, risk-scored listing do not yet know such a thing exists, so they never think to ask for one. Closing that gap is a marketing problem, and in this market it is solved locally, by someone who can sit in the room.

What you would own

  • Supply, first. The free tier is the acquisition engine: one user, ten listings, a full Dossier, free forever. Every listing makes the map denser and the next buyer's search better. Getting landlords and agents onto the verified map is the growth loop everything else sits on.
  • Diaspora demand. Ghanaians buying from abroad carry the most risk and the most willingness to pay for certainty. They are the wedge segment, and reaching them means channels that do not look like the local ones.
  • The agency upgrade. Converting good agents from the free tier into Elite Partner — the Emerald Badge, spatial video, flood-risk tooling — so that being verifiably trustworthy becomes something the market pays for.
  • The category itself. We do not compete on inventory, and we say so plainly. The narrative work is to make a verified, risk-scored listing the thing a buyer refuses to transact without.
  • Institutional credibility. Banks, insurers and regulators are customers for the same layer. How Asta presents itself to them decides whether a pilot gets signed or stalls.

What we think this needs

  • Senior marketing leadership, with real ownership of a number rather than a brand brief.
  • Deep working knowledge of the Ghanaian market — the agencies, the developers, the channels people actually use, and why a WhatsApp forward still beats a portal.
  • Experience growing a two-sided marketplace, where supply and demand have to be lit in the right order.
  • Comfort with data and with saying what the data does not support. Our whole position rests on being precise about what we verify and what we only refer.
  • Category-creation instincts. There is no existing search demand for “property risk score” in Ghana to capture; it has to be built.

Plainly, so nobody wastes a month

We are early and deliberately lean. There is no marketing team for you to inherit — you would be building the function, and doing the work yourself for a while before you hire anyone. Marketing currently sits with the CEO, and this role takes it over.

If you want a large budget, an established brand and a team already in place, this is the wrong role, and we would rather you knew that from the page than from the second interview.

How the process runs

Step 01Apply here
Step 02Intro call with the CEO
Step 03A working session on a real problem
Step 04Meet the founding team

No take-home that we would not pay for, and no unpaid strategy decks. The working session uses a live question we are actually facing.
